Question by bigpussy: I drive a forklift at my work and i need to know battery charging procedures?
The maintenance man says i should charge the battery overnight without adding water and then in the morning add water as needed. I disagree. If the water level is really low before charging,the battery is not gonna get a good charge. I say add water brfore charging,that way the water mixes and ionizes. Then in the morning top off all cells as needed. The battery is old and was a refurbish anyway,but i still want to get whatever life i can out of it.

The tuning fork is known to resonate or vibrate with a specific constant pitch and whenever it is set in a vibration it vibrates emitting a musical ton which is made by striking it against a surface or a pad and just allows a high tone to die out. The pitch generated by a tuning fork usually depends on the length at which the two forks are set. One of its main uses is to pitch a tune of any other musical instrument.

The instrument was invented in the year 1711 by a musician named John Shore who was a British musician. The main reason for using it to produce music was its shape that is believed to produce a pure music tone as most of its vibrational energy is in the form of a fundamental frequency. A little part of its tone is harmonics when in other case with a number of other resonators. The prime reason for this is that the frequency of the very first tone is 6 ¼ times that of the fundamental frequency.

So, this makes the first overtone of the vibrating frequency equal to one octave just above the fundamental tone.

So, whenever the tuning fork is struck, only a little amount of energy is lost in as overtones. So it makes us to tune other instruments with this form of pure tone.

One of the prime reasons for using tuning fork is its shape especially when it vibrates in the principle mode as the handle vibrates just moving up and down. One needs to keep in mind that there is a point of no vibration which is accompanied at the base of each of the prong. The motion of the handle is pretty small so that one can in fact held the fork by its handle at the time when it is vibrating without actually damping out any of the vibrations. It simply lets the handle to transmit all of the vibrations to the remaining part of the resonator.

This principle helps in amplifying the sound of the fork.

If one tries it without the fork then the sound is pretty faint. One of the most commonly used tuning forks used by a number of musicians is of the type A having a frequency 440- Hz and is also used as a standard tuning node by most of the musicians. It is an instrument used by most of the musicians in orchestra and also acts as a pitch of the violins sound. But the fact is that they are usually made to correspond all of the musical pitches that lies within the central octave of the piano.

It was announced today that the Parents of Joey Logano are thinking of suing J.G.R.. Seems young Joey told his Parents that he had a part time job with Home Depot but forgot to tell them that the job was driving a race car. Joey had told his Parents that he would work on weekends and try to save money for a promise ring for his Girlfriend. He also told them that he would stay with a friend on the weekends to save money on gas by not coming home every night. His Parents thought it was a very good idea. Seems Mom found out as one of her friends came over on Monday Morning with the sports page and lo and behold there was a picture of young Joey surrounded by scantily clad show girls. Mom went upstairs and demanded an explanation of the picture. Joey told mom that he had gotten a promotion at work and they were just publicity photos. She kind of had an idea that something was up when two weeks ago he came home with a bruise on his neck and said that he had a slight accident at work while driving a C.O.T. and bumped a wall. At first mom thought it was a hickey from his Girlfriend but thought about it and believed his story. He told her a C.O.T was a new vehicle and was still getting used to it, mom thought it was a new kind of forklift and went along with it for the time being. Mediation is on going and Mom is holding out for a picture of Tony Stewart wearing nothing but old spice, Dad has settled his part and will get free tools as long as Joey is with Home Depot. Mean while Joey is still saving up for that Promise ring for his special girl. And at least one parent will be at every race from now on as Mom doesn’t trust the Little Trollops that hang around the track.
