Question by L-train: Is apple butter a lame autumn party favor?
My daughters 2nd b-day is coming up this halloween.
I always like to get creative with favors. Something that people will actually appreciate and use.
usually Ill make a candy or soy candle in a jar. last year i made 40 lavishly decorated caramel chocolate covered apples.
All those things took lots n lots of time and effort and this year im a little poorer and i little busier.
One thing I make really well that is fairly cheap is jellies/jams/fruit butters.
Apple butter or pumpkin butter in particular because its perfect for the season. I was thinkin about using 1/2 pint jars and covering them with some nice cloth for decor.
It would be good for me becuase I could get it done weeks in advance and not even have to worrry about it.
What do you think? Is that lame?
Most of the people the will be adults so its not like im going to give away toy-type favors at the little ones party.
